About

Why another blog?

There are thousands of personal finance blogs out there, so why not add one more? This one is my blog. I have read many books on personal finance and more often than not they always point out that you have to come to terms with your debt and have a budget. This blog is first a formost for myself to keep track and at the same time share the things I have learned along the way.

A lot of books are good and give examples of dealing with real world situations, but they are examples. I like reading others’ blogs out there about what they are doing to rid themselves of debt. More often than not a lot of people who have personal finance blogs are in their 20s and 30s which is a huge demographic. Unlike the prior baby boomer generation, we are starting to consider what will happen to us later in life and actually figuring out saving for retirement is very important. Do you think social security or even pension plans is going to last when you’re in your golden years? I don’t want to be paying for debt I gathered in college later in life.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog. As much as I enjoy doing this for myself, I also enjoy the comments from readers out there.
